Dick

Last weekend I saw the future, and it was my dick in a box.

The industrial age is over and the information age is upon us. Every 500 hundred years mankind goes through these changes. In 1492 Columbus discovered the Americas and marked the start the Industrial Age. In 1989 the Berlin wall came down and marked the start the Information Age. In 2007 we sat around at a house party, watching a friends favourite YouTube videos projected in two metre by one metre glory for all to enjoy. It was quite entertaining, but face this brave new world with trepidation we should.

The rules of life have changed, and the youth of today is different. Every generation thinks it is special, the chosen one, but this time, it probably is. The Internet and the world wide web have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in man - cries for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all. Even now my blog is reaching millions throughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children who have not yet set up a favourites list on YouTube, but some day, they will. And then what? I'll tell you what. Then it's my dick in a box.

Rich in the future?

Probably it's better to write more than write less in a blog. At least it gives you a record of how bored you were on any given day. And who knows, my subconscious mind should kick in at any point and I'll start writing about what I really want to be writing about.

The decision to stay in Japan another year was not an easy one (see! Thank you, subconscious). It's going to be nice living a comfy, healthy, intellectually stimulating, sex orgy party fuelled lifestyle for one more year, but really I shouldn't get complacent. I still have to look long and hard into my future's face and say "Hey, what the hell are you looking at, you old fat man?"

It's all too easy to forget about the future, but really, the future is now. Annnd now.. and wait wait.... nnnnnow! no now! now!!

Is everybody really thinking about what they want or where they are going? Or do they just go? Sure, people have a job, a life, security, but what about a reason? At least I'm asking the questions, and like my dad always said, it's important to have an inquisitive mind.

Talking of dads, my book time is currently filled with Rich Dad, Poor Dad's entire back catalogue, - "What the rich teach there children, that the poor and middle classes do not!" After reading and enjoying his first book, I'm hooked on the ethos. That ethos being that any man can attain financial security simply by becoming educated and investing in his financial intelligence, something you don't learn at school, and don't learn by accident.

I'm not saying I have a poor dad, but lets just say I have to thank my brother for passing on these books. He's been very encouraging and a great influence. Remember The 3Bs thing from the other post? The (insert surname here) Business Brothers sounds even better to me.

Wantrapreneur

The empire is slowly taking shape, with the first in-profit sale of Japanese chocolate on eBay. I tell you, I'm going places. And not just chocolate related places.

I'm now convinced I'm going to be a success. I think I should be wording that in the present tense (i.e. I am a success), to manifest it properly, but I don't know a lot about subconscious auto-suggestion, yet.

Podcasts I am currently enjoying from iTunes and recommend:

The Economist
In Business
Japanesepod101
Learn to Meditate
Hypnosis, and NLP
Smallbizpod
The Motley Fool UK Money Talk

If you know any other good podcasts on money, business, psychology, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Japanese, let me know.

I'm thinking of changing the name of the blog to The 3 B's, The Brownsdon Business Blog, in light of the direction I want it to take. Nah, that sounds too boring. A bit like this post really.

Fishy

I just ate octopus, squid, salmon, tuna, egg, mashed tuna and eel for lunch. By choice. I went to the super market and bought it. I love it.

ARRRHGHGH!!!1

Sometimes I fucking hate blogs. I have spent about about an hour on this stupid Japanese computer trying to rotate that bloody picture of my Sushi. I was in such a good mood but what a waste of time! I really should put more effort into learning Japanese so I can understand all the God Damn kanji on Windows 2000.

I want a Mac.
